Online Program Technology Requirements

To ensure your ability to access the necessary programs, make sure your computer is equipped with the minimum, computer hardware and software requirements.

PC System Requirements

One of the following Microsoft Windows operating systems:

  • Windows 98 and 98 SE
  • Windows Millennium (Me)
  • Windows 2000 (Professional only)
  • Windows XP (Home & Professional)

Intel Pentium processor or equivalent with one of the following:

  • 133 MHz or faster for Windows 98 or Millennium (Me)
  • 233 MHz or faster for Windows 2000
  • 300 MHz or faster for Windows XP

RAM:

  • 64 MB for Windows 98 or Me
  • 128 MB for Windows XP and 2000
  • 100 MB free hard-drive space
  • CD-ROM or DVD drive

If using DSL or cable modem access: USB port or a 10Base-T Ethernet Network Interface Card (NIC) or equivalent. NICs are available at most computer stores.

Macintosh System Requirements

  • Apple Macintosh OS 10.1 and 10.2.x
  • PowerPC processor with speed 120 MHz or higher
  • 64 MB RAM (with Virtual Memory turned on)
  • 20 MB free hard-drive space
  • CD-ROM or DVD drive

Internet Requirements

  • Access to the Internet with communication speed of 56.6 kbps or better
  • e-mail account that you check daily

Software Requirements

  • Microsoft Office 2000 or later
