Online Programs

You want to go back to school, but the time you have available doesn’t remotely coincide with the class schedules at local universities. And even if you could attend a regular class, the secular values of the school in your area may not mesh with your faith in Christ. Online programs at Southeastern University will help you overcome those two big obstacles to your academic and professional growth.

Our professors have transformed their rich lectures and class discussion points into an online format to help you learn at times that are convenient for you. No matter how little college you have had, a Southeastern program can help you earn a degree that will open professional doors. Haven’t taken a college class? Sign up for our Online Liberal Arts program, which enables you to take core liberal arts classes you need to earn a bachelor’s degree. Need foundational training in early childhood education? Check out our online associate’s degree program in that field. Ready for a bachelor’s or master’s degree? We offer online programs that will enable you to earn undergraduate degrees in church leadership, business, and human services, and graduate degrees in ministerial leadership and business administration.

Concerned that earning your degree online is a sub-par alternative to taking classes in person? In a survey of over 1,100 colleges and universities, more than half of respondents rated “online learning outcomes as equivalent to or better than their face-to-face counterparts,” according to the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, which supports science, technology, and higher education.

Besides convenience, online education has other advantages. In traditional college courses, few students participate in class discussion or take advantage of their access to the professor. But at Southeastern, all online students contribute to class discussions through electronic discussion boards. Moreover, because you’ll have a week to contribute to class discussions, you’ll have days to reflect upon and research subjects before you add your voice to discussions. Hearing thoughtful responses from all of your classmates, who may live in different regions of the country—and the world, will enrich your education as an online student. And regarding personalized attention, not only will your professors e-mail or call you to answer your queries, but an online mentor will be assigned to encourage you and address your concerns as you progress through your program.
