The (Lakeland, Fla.) Ledger: 2,000 watch Southeastern baseball team play professionals; spectator receives scholarship between innings

The Southeastern baseball team played the Lakeland Flying Tigers, the Class A Major League Baseball affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, April 2 before more than 2,000 spectators. Between innings, President Dr. Mark Rutland awarded a Polk County (Fla.) teacher with a scholarship for a master's degree. (Click here for more.)
