Counseling ServicesWhile academic achievement should be central to your college years, Southeastern believes that emotional, social, cultural and spiritual growth are also crucial during this stage in your life. Our mission is to provide professional counseling services to Southeastern University students within a Christian atmosphere, and to create a safe environment where students are able to establish and accomplish treatment goals and objectives. Our counselors work along side clients, who learn new skills that enable them to live a full and productive life as a student as well as into the future. Counseling services are included as a part of enrollment as a full-time student at Southeastern University. Family members may attend sessions with the student when deemed appropriate by the counselor. SEU Counseling Center utilizes a brief therapy model, as most clients experience the greatest level of progress after a few sessions. Professors, residence directors, resident assistants, staff members or another Southeastern student can refer students to the campus counselor. Students may also self-refer. Counseling appointments are conducted in private offices in Pansler, Suite 223, where conversations can be kept confidential. For more information, refer to the Counseling Services page in MySEU. To schedule your first appointment, call (863) 667-5205. Clients must schedule their own appointments, even if referred by another individual. |
