Alumni Relations Coordinator The Alumni Relations Coordinator reports to the Executive Director of Development. It is preferred that the position be held by a graduate of Southeastern [College] University. The Alumni Relations Coordinator is actively involved in fundraising through telephone and personal contact with alumni. The responsibility of the Alumni Relations Coordinator is to advance the Development Office and the Southeastern University Alumni Association by engaging alumni as loyal, lifelong participants and supporters of Southeastern University. The Alumni Relations Coordinator assists in facilitating volunteer staffing of the Alumni Association officers and communicates with alumni regarding opportunities for service and participation, including financial support. Other responsibilities include selecting alumni for awards and recognition by the University, and serving as editor of the “Alumni ClassNotes” publication which includes preparing copy and designing layout. Strong verbal and written communications skills are required, as well as strong organizational skills and a high level of efficiency. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively with a large, diverse constituency are needed. Individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, carry a heavy workload, and balance multiple simultaneous tasks.
