The campus, located in Lakeland, Florida—between Tampa and Orlando—covers 87 shaded acres and is bordered by two lakes. The university has a workforce of 300+ employees. ACADEMIC ADVISOR
The Academic Advisor reports to the Director of Academic Advising. The Academic Advisor directs the functions of academic advising, including the training and evaluation of faculty advisors, maintaining advising files on all students, and directing the function of advising during pre-registration, registration and special recruitment functions. Other responsibilities include supervising the evaluation of academic transcripts of incoming students, and supervising the developmental studies function of the university pertaining to the testing of students to determine academic ability and placement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the academic areas of the university; master’s degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to counsel and advise students.
  • Extraordinary organizational skills, a strong, self-starting work ethic, supervise multiple tasks simultaneously and able to work under pressure.
  • Experience in some aspect of college professional life (student life, administration, teaching) is an asset.

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF STUDENT FINANCIAL SERVICES
The Associate Director reports to the Director of Student Financial Services. Position is responsible for data systems management, providing service and support, creating-maintaining-submitting-reconciling reports for reporting state funds, training for utilization of technology in appropriate and effective ways including counseling to students and parents concerning the financial aid process, over-seeing the Federal Work-Study Program and in-house data imaging process. Additionally, position is responsible for submission of documents and reports to the Florida Office of Student Financial Assistance.

Criteria:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent Business Administration experience required.
  2. Two to four years experience in a Financial Aid Office or Business Administration field.
  3. Advanced computer/technical skills required.
  4. Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills.

DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE AND CHURCH RELATIONS
The Director of Corporate and Church Relations reports to the Vice President for Development. Position directs the relationship with corporate and church donors and prospects, to include but not be limited to identification, cultivation, proposal submission, and solicitation of funds for Southeastern University. Other responsibilities include management of database and compilation of reports. Bachelor’s degree and fundraising experience are required. Bachelor’s degree is required; experienced in fundraising. Individual must be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational and analytical skills, and able to work and multi-task in fast-paced environment. Extensive travel required.

CLERK II, CIRCULATION
The Clerk II, Circulation position reports to the Head of Circulation. The Circulation Clerk II supervises the circulation desk and library student workers during the library’s evening and weekend hours. Requires high school diploma; college degree and previous library circulation experience highly desirable. In addition to supervising the circulation desk, the Circulation Clerk II will have responsibility for two of the following areas: Interlibrary Loan, Syllabus Repository, Student library billing, Reserve collection. Work week is generally Sunday-Thursday, with shift ending at midnight on weekdays.

DIRECTOR OF STUDENT WORSHIP, CONTEMPORARY ENSEMBLES AND UNIVERSITY TOUR TEAMS
The Director reports to the Chair of the Music Department. Master’s degree from a regionally accredited university or college in relevant discipline is required. The Director is over the Student Worship Department and responsible for the preparation and coordination of all student led worship in the campus chapel; instructor of Southeastern Singers and contemporary music ensembles. As overseer of the university tour teams, the Director is responsible for promotion, scheduling, rehearsing, preparation and logistics of all university music tours. Other responsibilities include direct oversight of resources allocated for his/her department to include maintenance of music and production equipment. Position holds faculty status with limited teaching responsibilities.

HUMAN RESOURCES INFORMATION SYSTEMS SPECIALIST
The Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Specialist reports to the Director of Human Resources. The HRIS Specialist directs the integration of human resource processes through the Human Resources database/information system and is responsible for entering, maintaining, and updating data. The HRIS Specialist completes salary surveys and prepares periodic or special reports from HRIS, compiling statistical information or preparing reports relating to compensation, recruiting, position classification, payroll, training, equal opportunity employment, or affirmative action utilizing HRIS systems. Other duties include providing training to HR users.

Criteria:

  1. Bachelor’s degree required in business or appropriate field.
  2. Minimum of two to five years of similar or related experience in the HRIS area.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  4. Must be detail oriented with strong analytical, computer, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and process confidential and sensitive data and information is required. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications.
  5. Experience with ADP HR Perspective preferred.
  6. Able to prioritize projects, handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  7. Previous experience working with an on-line HR/Payroll information system and experience in higher education preferred.
  8. Ability to write clear, accurate, and logical reports.
  9. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees.
  10. Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  11. Ability to deal tactfully with employees, vendors and the general public.

MEDIA SERVICES SOUND TECHNICIAN
Southeastern University is accepting applications for the position of Media Services Sound Technician. The Media Services Sound Technician reports to the Director of Media Services. Responsibilities include maintaining campus sound systems and overseeing campus events requiring sound reinforcement.

Criteria:

1. Associates Degree or equivalent, as well as 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
2. Technical degree from a 2 -year program or institution in the field of sound reinforcement.
3. Experience with fixed installs as well as portable systems.
4. Excellent administrative skills and good communicative people skills.
5. Knowledgeable in design, installation and troubleshooting of sound systems and sound components.
6. Strong computer skills.

NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR
The Network Administrator reports to the Chief Technology Officer.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage all aspects of 40 Microsoft 2003 R2 and 2008 servers in an Active Directory environment.
  • Manage all aspects of an Exchange 2007 and OCS server cluster environment.
  • Manage all aspects of a Dell EMC SAN
  • Manage and maintain working backup sets of all production systems.
  • Plan for and upgrade on a 3 year cycle all production servers and Cisco network infrastructure.
  • Support faculty, staff and administration in connectivity, hardware, software and other technology questions or problems that are encountered
Criteria:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Business Management; technical certifications a plus.
  • Two or more years experience with Windows 2003+ and Active Directory.
  • Two or more years experience with Microsoft Exchange technologies.
  • Preferred two or more years experience with Cisco Systems switches, routers, firewalls and VoIP.
  • SAN experience a plus.
  • Linux experience a plus.

PROCUREMENT ASSISTANT
The Procurement Assistant reports to the Procurement Officer. Associate Degree (or higher) in Business is required. General accounting skills and computer experience required. Individual must have strong communication skills, keen analytical skills, proficient in Excel, competent in Word and Access, experienced with vendor relationships, ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally, and be comfortable working in a hands-on atmosphere with significant walking. Position maintains accurate records relating to procurement fixed assets; understands institutional, state, and federal policies, procedures and restrictions as it relates to not-for-profit institutions; ensures compliance with generally accepted business practices in executing, analyzing, verifying, and reporting transactions of a fiscal nature; and monitors records of past and present service contracts.

ORIENTATION COORDINATOR
The Orientation Coordinator reports to the Director for International Students and Orientation. Associate degree required, bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. Computer skills with knowledge in Windows Vista, Word and Microsoft Office required. Experienced in managing multiple, highly detailed projects, able to develop and maintain logical, efficient file system both physically and electronically, good communication skills, internet research and online social networking skills strongly preferred, prior experience working with international students preferred but not required. Also prior experience working with SEVIS is a plus. Responsibilities include assisting in the management of all systems, publications, and activities related to the student orientation process and international students, maintaining calendar and schedules for department, and serve as secondary Designated School Official for SEVIS [federal government database for international students], including learning SEVIS database system and F-1 regulations.

SECURITY OFFICER - P/T
The Security Officer reports to the Safety & Security Shift Supervisor. Part-time officers are needed for the second and third shifts. Applicant must be a high school graduate with Security Class D license preferred.

SPIRITUAL FORMATION COORDINATOR
The Spiritual Formation Coordinator reports to the Director of Spiritual Formation. Bachelor’s degree in Bible or related field is required. Individual must possess typing and general secretarial skills, computer experience, and three to five years experience in full-time ministry. Responsibilities include processing attendance records for chapel services including oversight of the Chapel Attendance Manager program. Responsibilities also include involvement with pastoral care by assisting the campus chaplain, student counseling, training of leaders in awareness of life issues facing students, and project manager for all department events.

STUDENT FINANCIAL SERVICES COUNSELOR
Southeastern University is seeking applications for the position of Student Financial Services Counselor. The Student Financial Services Counselor reports to the Director of Student Financial Services. Responsibilities include administration of various state and federally regulated financial aid grants, loans, and scholarships; providing financial aid counseling to students and families; and involvement with the financial aid application process. A bachelor’s degree is required; minimum three years of financial aid or related experience is preferred. The individual must be self-motivated with strong orientation towards high-volume, fast-paced, time sensitive operations. A high level of customer service skills is needed. Good oral and interpersonal skills are required. The individual also must be organized, detail oriented, and able to multi-task. Computer knowledge/ability is necessary (including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point). Basic accounting knowledge is helpful.
