Meeting The Need A university education is a significant investment, but Southeastern's program of scholarships and financial aid can make it affordable. Southeastern University offers a variety of financial aid resources to help students cover educational expenses, including federal and state grants, loan and work-study programs, academic, minority, need-based, and performance scholarships. Eighty-six percent of Southeastern students receive financial aid, and the average financial aid package for the 2008-2009 school year was $13,031.
Southeastern's location in central Florida provides students with many opportunities for part-time employment. The returns from such work, together with savings from summer employment and financial aid, enable many Southeastern students to work their way through college.
Financial Aid Eligibility In order to be considered for any financial assistance, all Southeastern students must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by clicking here. Southeastern's FAFSA code is #001521. Also, upon acceptance to SEU you will receive a letter with instructions on how to complete the Student Information Sheet (SIS) online. Included in the letter will be a PIN# that you will need in order to in order to complete the SIS.
Other eligibility requirements for federal grants, loans and work-study are as follows:
have a high school diploma, GED (General Equivalency Diploma), or pass an independently administered test approved by the U.S. Department of Education
be enrolled in an eligible academic program
be a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen
register with the U.S. Selective Service if you're a male 18 to 25 years old
maintain satisfactory academic progress as defined by your college/university
