Evening and Weekend Programs

Think you missed the boat of earning the degree of your dreams? Or does your work schedule make it nearly impossible to attend classes during the day? Through Southeastern’s evening and weekend schedule, you can overcome these challenges and earn the degree you want.

Courses taken through our Evening and Weekend programs run eight weeks during times that are convenient for working adults. For each course, you’ll meet on two weekday nights each week for about two hours each day. And on one Saturday each month you’ll attend class for four hours—that’s two Saturday meetings for each eight-week course.

When many people—including employers—think of “night school,” they envision programs that give graduates a second-class education compared to those who attended full-time, day programs. Not so at Southeastern. The content of our Evening and Weekend courses mirrors the content taught in our daytime classes. Starting with our 54-credit hour general education core curriculum, you’ll receive the same vigorous, Christ-centered liberal arts education that our full-time students receive. And when it comes to majoring in fields, you can choose from most of the 44 majors that Southeastern offers during the day.

If you’ve been working for a few years and have an associate’s degree or no college experience, you can enroll at Southeastern and begin working towards a degree in a wide range of fields. Or, if you have earned a degree through an evening, degree-completion program that lacked majors traditionally offered during the day, we invite you to take additional classes for a degree in the field of your dreams.

Flexibility: On-campus and online
At Southeastern, we understand how hard it is to keep the strict meeting schedule that on-campus college courses demand. Therefore, if you’re earning a degree through our Evening and Weekend programs, you’ll also have the ability to take online courses that run the same eight weeks as Evening and Weekend classes. This way, you can select the on-campus or online classes that best meet your schedule.

Just as the kingdom of God meets people at their point of need, Southeastern wants to help you achieve your academic and professional dreams at your point of need.
