HEAD COACH: ELIZABETH MIDDLETON

Coach Middleton will enter her third season as the Lady Fire tennis coach in August of 2008.

Middleton is a graduate of Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she played tennis for four years.

Middleton helped guide the Lady Fire to a 7-13 overall record in the program's first year of competition in 2008.

Before coming to Southeastern, Middleton was a tennis professional at the Creek Club in Locust Valley, New York. Middleton was also an assistant coach at NCAA I University of Texas-Pan American, where she helped with both the women's and men's tennis programs.

A native of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Middleton was an Oklahoma all-state player her senior year and advanced to the state tournament in each of her four seasons. She finished third one season and was team captain her senior year. She also played point guard for the basketball team and served as team captain her senior year.

At Oral Roberts, Middleton led ORU to the NCAA tournament three out of four years. In 2001, as a senior, she helped lead ORU to a perfect 9-0 record in both singles and doubles against conference competition. She was also named team captain her senior season.

Middleton has also served as a tennis professional at the Foothills Swim & Racquet Club in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She completed her bachelor’s degree in 2001 in management information systems.
