lady fire prepares for sun conference and 2009 season

Success has become a regular part of the Southeastern Lady Fire soccer program.

In 2008, the Lady Fire went 16-4-1 and finished second in the nation after losing to Baptist Bible College, 1-0, in the NCCAA II National Tournament.

Southeastern has compiled a 30-1-2 record over the past four years within the South Region, with three straight South Region Championships. Head Coach Dominic Stross has a four-year record of 65-17-4 and has been named the South Region Coach of the Year three times since 2005.

This will be the final season Southeastern competes within the NCCAA II's South Region, and the 2009 season will also mark the Lady Fire's first year within the NAIA's Sun Conference.

Coach Stross and the Lady Fire coaching staff hope the program's recent success will make the transition into the Sun Conference that much easier. The Lady Fire opens its Sun Conference schedule on September 24 versus Johnson & Wales University in Miami.
