Head athletic trainer

Southeastern Athletics is proud to have Bethany Nkosi as the university's head athletic trainer.

Nkosi was named SEU's head athletic trainer in July 2007, but she hasn't moved far from her roots in the Tampa area where she grew up and graduated from Plant City's Durant High School in 1998.

Nkosi attended the University of Tampa, graduating in 2002 with a degree in exercise science and athletic training. She then worked at the University of Tampa as an assistant athletic trainer before pursuing her master's degree.

While working on her masters degree from the University of West Florida in exercise science, she also recieved a graduate assistant position working with men's soccer and women's softball.


Nkosi completed her masters degree in 2005. She has worked with the Tampa Bay Storm, the Pensacola Pelicans, and the Pensacola Lightning, and she has also gained valuable experience with Workman Compensation Rehabilitation and Work Hardening Programs.

She was married to Okang Nkosi in 2005, and the couple resides in Lakeland.
