Fire finishes second nationally!

The Southeastern University men's soccer team fell to No. 1 seed Manhattan Christian College, 2-1, in overtime in the 2007 NCCAA II National Championship game.

SEU was just 5:47 away from repeating as national champions, but a young Fire team learned a valuable lesson and will be back even stronger in 2008.

Ryan Rogers was named National Tournament MVP, and nine Fire players earned first or second team All-Region honors in 2007.

Southeastern finished the year with a 16-5-1 overall record and its second straight South Region title.
