Marshall passes 1,500 point mark

Junior guard, Nate Marshall, eclipsed the 1,500 point mark this season for the Fire.

Marshall entered the year with 1,100 points in two seasons. He scored 597 points this year as he averaged 17.6 points per game.

He now has 1,697 career points which puts him in fifth place all-time on the Southeastern Basketball scoring list.

Marshall trails Matt Cole (1,749), Israel Galloway (1,772), Tony Watson (1,835) and Andrew Thurber (2,074).

Marshall needs just 377 points next year to become the school's all-time leading scorer.

Marshall was also named a First Team All-Region Player and a 2010 NCCAA II Second Team All-American this year.
