HEAD COACH: JOHN DUNLAP

In Fall 2008, John Dunlap will be entering his eighth season at Southeastern University.

Coach Dunlap has led the Fire to a top-five finish nationally four out of the past five seasons.

In 2004-2005, Coach Dunlap led Southeastern to a 30-8 overall record and won the school's first NCCAA II National Championship in men's basketball. Coach Dunlap also won his 300th basketball game that season with an 88-45 win over Trinity Baptist College on February 10, 2005.

Under Coach Dunlap, the Fire set an NCCAA South Region record by winning 40 straight South Region games. He has an amazing record of 106-12 versus South Region opponents over his career, a 170-83 record overall at Southeastern, and an overall career coaching record of 378-304.

Coach Dunlap came to Southeastern after 13 years as the head coach at Webber International University in Babson Park, Florida. As a head coach, he had collected more than 200 career wins, two appearances at the NAIA National Tournament, and a perfect 17-0 conference record in the Florida Sun Conference in 1992-93. Dunlap also was selected as the Florida Sun Conference Coach of the Year in 1992-93 and 1993-94.

Coach Dunlap is not just a terrific coach but also an outstanding judge of talent. Recruiting some of the best players from around the country to play for Southeastern, he has been the key to bringing Southeastern athletics into national prominence.

Coach Dunlap and his wife have been married for 19 years and have a daughter, Katie, and two sons, Josiah and Zachary.
