Students With Disabilities
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliance
Southeastern University recognizes the federal mandate, the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, which guarantees educational rights for the disabled. Students should notify the Office of Academic Success
at Southeastern University of their disability by filing a Request for Accommodations for Students with Learning Disabilities and/or Physical Impairments along with supporting medical and/or educational documentation. All material should be sent to the Office of Academic Success
at Southeastern University, 1000 Longfellow Blvd. Lakeland, FL 33801. Information on requesting reasonable academic accommodations and forms to do so are available in the Office of Academic Success.
The Office of Academic Success
believes students with physical impairments and/or learning disabilities can be affected academically in their performance and quality of work. Since physical impairments often control or limit optimal performance, accommodations have been federally mandated. Southeastern University will provide accommodations to comply with federal government standards. These accommodations will assist our students at Southeastern University to perform optimally. Please contact the Office of Academic Success
for more information at (863) 667-5157.
Testing Accommodations
Tests are administered for each department at the request of each professor to provide special accommodations for those affected by learning disabilities, vision and physical impairments, attention deficit disorder, and testing anxiety/phobias. These accommodations are provided on a daily basis for the student and professors.
