Biography
Dr. Bill Hackett has served Southeastern since 1988, holding positions in teaching, administration, and student life, including a five-year tenure as Vice President for Academic Affairs. His fifteen years of practical ministry prior to coming to Southeastern—including positions as a senior pastor, an associate pastor, a youth pastor, and a high school and college teacher—are a rich source of experience and wisdom that Dr. Hackett passes on to his students.  Dr. Hackett’s excellence in teaching was recognized in 2006 with Southeastern’s presentation to him of the Outstanding Faculty of the Year Award.

Dr. Hackett also works in the student life department as the Director of Mentoring and Leadership, and he speaks regularly in the Southeastern chapel.

Dr. Hackett teaches many religion courses, including Christian Thought.
