Biography
Dr. Yung-Eun Choe has performed throughout the United States and South Korea as a soloist and in collaboration with singers and instrumentalists. She is a recipient of numerous prizes and scholarships, including the Young Artist competition, the Baur scholarship, the Lloyd F. Gonyea Scholarship, the Cliburn scholarship for outstanding pianist, and a full scholarship award to Rice University. 

Dr. Choe's most influential teachers include Lydia Artymiw, Robert Roux, and Eugene and Elizabeth Pridonoff.  She also worked with Teresa Dybvig, director of The Balanced Pianist and former faculty member of the Taubman and Golandsky Institutes. In addition, Dr. Choe received a second masters degree, one in piano pedagogy, from the University of Minnesota under Dr. Rebecca Shockley. 

Dr. Choe is in demand as an adjudicator and clinician for music festivals.  She has previously served as a faculty member of Sam Houston State University, St. Joseph’s School of Music, and the University of Wisconsin International Summer Festival.
