Biography
Dr. Scott Bryan comes to Southeastern from Indiana with 29 years of experience in k-12 public education. He knows the public education system from many angles, having served as a teacher, as a principal, as an assistant superintendent, and, for nine years, as a district superintendent. In addition, he has 12 years of experience as an adjunct professor, two years at Taylor University teaching undergraduate classes, and 11 years at Indiana Wesleyan University teaching graduate classes.

Dr. Bryan loves teaching at Southeastern because the school nurtures such a Christ-centered environment, and he strives to instill a love of learning in his students. He takes great pleasure in helping prepare pre-service teachers for a rewarding career as classroom teachers, truly believing that Southeastern’s graduates will influence and shape the future in great ways.

Dr. Bryan teaches the following courses: Science and Technology in the Elementary Classroom, Teaching Social Studies in the Elementary Classroom, Teaching Health, Nutrition, and Safety in the Elementary Classroom, and The Child–Human Growth and Development. In addition, he teaches various graduate courses in Southeastern’s Masters of Education program. Dr. Bryan’s main research interests are in the areas of brain development and multiple intelligences.
