Biography
Nickolas Dixon joined Southeastern’s faculty in 2007, bringing not only experience in teaching and business but also an impressive career in performing arts.  In fact, Dixon has traveled the world lecturing, hosting creative arts seminars, and presenting solo productions, mostly in his capacities as Executive Director of Communication & Creative Arts Production for Global Ministries, Inc., and proprietor of Nickolas Jonathan Studios. He has also been blessed and highly favored to lecture and perform in several venues in Paris, and he was invited personally by the mayor of Nice to present his gifts and knowledge in dance, mime, and other aspects of the theatrical arts at the Grand Theater as a part of France’s nationwide telethon.

Even as an undergraduate, Dixon was traveling, studying theatre in London, England, as a part of Florida State’s international program. At Florida State, also, Dixon participated in many theatre and dance productions and continued pefecting his skills as a cheerleader. His cheerleading career covered 13 years and included national rankings at Florida State and Hawai'i Pacific Universities. Dixon has also been honored nationally for his work in mime, winning the U.S. National Mime Championship three times. 

As a graduate student of Hawai’i Pacific University, Dixon worked on staff with Word of Life Christian Center in Honolulu as the Performing Arts Assistant Director and Executive Director of its Performing Arts Academy. His professional experience includes performing for the Walt Disney Corporation and choreographing for dance companies, both stateside and abroad, in addition to developing ad campaigns and corporate strategies. Dixon strives to impart all of this business and educational and performance experience to the wonderful students of Southeastern University, believing that God has blessed him to be a blessing to others.

Dixon teaches the following courses at Southeastern:  Theatre Appreciation, Acting One, Theatrical Dance, Theatre Practicum, Fundamentals of Speech, Media Ethics, and Writing for Digital Media.  As a continuing student of his craft, Dixon has attended workshops at the Stella Adler School of Acting in New York City and will continue to seek out opportunities to expand his knowledge and experience in all his fields of study.
