Biography
Chad Neuman brings expertise and experience to Southeastern from a variety of communication-related fields. He is a nationally-published magazine writer, having been published in American Fitness, Succeed, Family Tree, Faith Today, Pacific Yachting, Layers Magazine, and Relevant Magazine. In addition, he has been designing and coding web sites since the web was invented and still occasionally designs or re-designs web sites for clients.

Neuman worked as Webmaster and Ad Layout Specialist for the Winter Haven News Chief, developing in-house web pages as well as client web sites. He then became the Internet Development Director at Reed Advertising Design, creating web sites and newsletters for various clients while gaining experience in advertising, including formulating the slogan for a Publix/United Way event. He has also overseen the technology department of the Lakeland Public Library system, maintaining its online presence and coordinating technology services. Most recently, Neuman worked as a Managing Editor of an internationally-renowned graphic design magazine while helping launch yet another magazine, guiding it to become the world's premiere design magazine for Adobe Illustrator users.

Neuman believes that Christians can be excellent in all that they do, whether it is sharing and communicating God's truth and love or writing for a newspaper or designing a magazine. At Southeastern, Neuman says, he shares his love for journalistic writing and editing, graphic and magazine design, and public relations and advertising writing. The Christ-centered environment allows students to learn in a more holistic way, especially in classes like Media Ethics.

Neuman teaches the following courses: Journalism; Magazine Design and Production; Media Ethics; Photography; Layout and Design; Communication Seminar; and Public Relations, Media Advertising & Writing. His research interests include media ethics, the communication of science to the public, graphic design theory, bioethics and the media, and web design and development.
